This catalog searches most libraries in the United States (including the Center for Research Libraries which has an extensive collection of foreign dissertations) and Canada, and many foreign libraries as well. It displays the University of Washington holdings first, provided the UW holds the title desired; then it displays any holdings in the Summit Libraries; then holdings elsewhere. Titles neither available in the University of Washington Libraries, nor the Summit Libraries, may be requested through Interlibrary Loan. Titles held by the Summit Libraries may be requested directly by the user. The Summit Libraries is a consortium of Northwest Libraries including The University of Washington.
