  • Ethnomusicology
    As the official journal of the Society for Ethnomusicology (SEM), Ethnomusicology is the premier publication in the field. Its scholarly articles represent current theoretical perspectives and research in ethnomusicology and related fields, while playing a central role in expanding the discipline in the United States and abroad. Aimed at a diverse audience of musicologists, anthropologists, folklorists, cultural studies scholars, musicians, and others, this inclusive journal also features book, recording, film, video, and multimedia reviews. Peer-reviewed by the Society’s international membership, Ethnomusicology has been published three times a year since the 1950s.

  • Yearbook for Traditional Music
    The International Council for Traditional Music (ICTM) is a Non-Governmental Organisation in formal consultative relations with UNESCO. Its aims are to further the study, practice, documentation, preservation and dissemination of traditional music and dance of all countries. Their Yearbook for Traditional Music is a refereed scholarly journal which carries essays, reviews, and reports in the area of traditional music and dance research.   • Society for Ethnomusicology Resource List
    The Society for Ethnomusicology (SEM) was founded in 1955 to promote the research, study, and performance of music in all historical periods and cultural contexts. In addition to publishing the premier journal in the field, SEM maintains resources lists online covering: societies and organizations; journals; institutions and centers; archives, libraries, and museums; indexes and reference sites; special projects of interest; funding sources; and email discussion lists.
