Finding Floor Plans and Drawings
- Use the Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals to find a specific building. In the article record, look under "Details" to see what kinds of graphic information is included; if a plan is included in the article, it will say that under "Details."
- Use the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Catalogue to find specific buildings in articles and some books.
- Check the UW Libraries Catalog for books on the building's architect. Remember to use the "Advanced Search."
- For well-known U.S. buildings, check the Historic American Buildings Survey. This site has both photos and drawings of selected buildings.
