Seeing

One way to picture life during the interwar period is to view photographs and other images of the time. What would Mrs. Dalloway see if she strolled down Regent Street toward Piccadilly. This page lists some sources that provide digital images of England and London during Virginia Woolf's time.  You can also locate images from newspapers and magazines in the sources listed under "What They Were Reading."
