Main Health Indicators page

1. Access the Community Health Indicators data
2. Select an indicator
3. If available, click on "Health Planning Areas" tab
4. At the bottom of the Health Planning Areas page, click on Maps
5. Or go directly to a selection of maps for King County Health Planning Areas.

How do I find basic information about Seattle's neighborhoods?
Try the Department of Neighborhoods: Seattle Communities Online, which will lead you to http://www.belltown.org/http://www.pioneersquare.org/, http://www.slucommunitycouncil.org/, and http://www.cidbia.org/. 


How do I find U.S. Census information about my neighborhood?

1. Use 2010 Tract Maps for Seattle

2. Social Explorer includes tract level data back to 1940, other geographies back to 1790.

     South Lake Union:  Sample address: 2201 Westlake Ave, Seattle, WA 98121
     Census Tracts=73 (66? 67?)
 
     Waterfront: 1415 Western Ave, Seattle, WA 98121
     Census Tracts=80.01, 80.02, 81

     International District:  Sample address: 719 S King St, Seattle, WA 98104
     Census Tract=91
 
     Pioneer Square:  Sample address: 105 1st Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98104

3.  Nicely formatted maps, tables, factsheets specific to Seattle and Seattle tracts for the 1990, 2000 & 2010 Decennial Censuses.

4.  Seattle City Clerk's Office Neighborhood Map Atlas Index. 

5.  American Factfinder 2 allows you to enter in an address into the "Address Search" feature and search for variables that way.

6. Segregated Seattle, The Seattle Civil Rights and Labor History Project based at the University of Washington, includes Data and Maps concerning Race and Ethnicity in Seattle, from 1920 - 2000.
